As director, Jayden is deeply involved in every project. You’ll find him on site, working closely with the team, solving challenges, and ensuring every detail reflects the vision and quality our clients expect. This direct involvement is the difference our clients experience: a leader who doesn’t just oversee but actively contributes to bringing their landscapes to life.

Jayden Hawkins, Director

Jayden founded Natural Spaces in 2022 with a vision to bring exceptional landscaping to Bay of Plenty and beyond. With 12 years on the tools and another 8 managing large-scale projects, he’s tackled everything from intricate residential gardens to massive commercial builds. He thrives on big ideas and even bigger challenges—whether that’s coordinating contractors, perfecting a landscape, or pushing himself in endurance sports. In 2020, he took on the Coast to Coast, proving that he’s just as determined on the course as he is in business. If he’s not on-site, you’ll probably spot him clocking up the kilometres, always moving forward—literally and figuratively.
Jesse Young, Project Manager

Jesse has been with Natural Spaces since day one, earning the title of Jayden’s right-hand man (and probably the most methodical guy you'll ever meet). With 12 years of hands-on experience in hardscape construction and large planting projects—plus another 8 years leading teams and managing complex builds—he’s the calm, collected force that keeps everything running smoothly. Need something done? Jesse’s got it covered. When he’s not keeping things shipshape on-site, he’s out hunting, fishing, or diving for his next big catch.
Tom Sherson, Project Manager

Tom brings 12 years of landscaping expertise from both the UK and NZ, with a specialty in hardscaping and a talent for running mid-sized teams on complex projects. He’s a natural problem solver, with a methodical approach and a knack for making big jobs look easy. A former pro rugby player in the UK, he’s no stranger to tackling challenges head-on—whether it's a tight project deadline or a weekend hunting and fishing mission. With a farming background and a love for the outdoors, Tom fits right in with the Natural Spaces crew.
